NAPLAN is running in March next year, so we are helping your students get prepared earlier with a free Get Ready for NAPLAN resource.
This free online resource for Literacy or Numeracy includes 8-16 practice tests, NAPLAN strategies and tips, and trackable student results.
But be quick, it’s free for the first 100 classes!
Each year, NAPLAN results provide education professionals with insights into how Australian students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 are preforming in numeracy and literacy. These insights arm teachers with knowledge that can be used to adjust their teaching plans to address particular learning gaps among individual students and/or classes.
This year, 10% of Australian students were set to complete NAPLAN Online for the initial rollout of the platform. However, as of last week, all Australian states and territories have delayed their participation in the online test. This Australia-wide fallout came after principals expressed concerns ranging from glitches with the online platform, to schools not being technically capable yet.
So what does this mean for NAPLAN Online? While NAPLAN will remain pen and paper for 2017, all Australian schools will still be moving to the online platform by 2019.
As Alexander Graham Bell, famous Scottish scientist, once said, “Before anything else, preparation is the key to success”. With NAPLAN just around the corner, schools are finalising their preparations and the logistics of the testing period. For teachers, this means ensuring students have the tools and knowledge they need to achieve their best.
If you’re seeking final preparation tips for this year or simply thinking ahead to the future, download our free Teacher’s Guide to NAPLAN in 2017 and beyond. Topics include relevant findings and important considerations from the 2016 results, a three-step process to get your students ready and advice for NAPLAN Online in 2019.
