Our 3 step plan to get you ready for remote learning

To make sure students and their parents, guardians or caregivers are ready for at-home learning, we have outlined 3 simple steps below to get you started.

Step 1: Check your jacPLUS login details are working

It is a great idea to check that your jacPLUS Online Bookshelf login details are correct and working so you’re able to access your digital textbooks before classes begin.

All you need to do is:

  1. Open jacPLUS in an internet browser
  2. Enter your username/email address and password
  3. Once logged in, open your digital textbook(s) and explore

Step 2: Explore your digital textbook 

If you haven’t already, now is the time to explore you digital title.

Take a look around your online table of contents, check out your reading content, watch some videos and and play around some fun interactivities. This will help you get used to navigating your online textbooks, so you’re ready for your upcoming remote classes.

Step 3: Practise answering questions online with instant feedback

If you are using the learnON platform, you can begin studying by answering online questions! All questions you attempt will provide immediate feedback and have exemplary responses or worked solutions so you can feel confident in progressing your learning and classwork, without your teacher being with you in person.

FAQs and troubleshooting advice 

  • My title has gone missing from my jacPLUS bookshelf. How do I get it back?

    In most cases your title is still there in your jacPLUS bookshelf, however it is not showing in the default ‘favourite titles’ view (red heart at bottom of each title). Learn how to favourite/unfavourite titles here.

  • How do I download my PDF?

    You can download the individual chapters or full title PDF straight from your jacPLUS Bookshelf. Click here to learn how.

  • I am using a printed textbook. Can I access the digital content?

    Yes. Every Jacaranda printed textbook has a free digital access code on the inside cover. All you need to do is create an account on jacPLUS and register your code! If your book is secondhand, you can check if your code has already been validated here.

  • learnON, eBookPLUS? How do I know which digital formats I have access to?

    If you have a new VCE or Years 7-10 Jacaranda title, you will have access to both the learnON and eBookPLUS online formats. learnON is our ideal platform for remote learning and self-study.

    For other senior titles (Stage 6, HSC etc), you will have access to the eBookPLUS online format.

  • How do I open an assignment in learnON?

    If your teacher has sent you an assignment in learnON, and you’re not sure how to access it click here.

  • How do I submit my assignment in learnON?

    If you have finished your assignment in learnON, and you’re not sure how to submit it click here.

    If you have submitted your assignment and your teacher has released your results, find out where you can access you results here.
