Thinking ahead to 2017 at GTA NSW’s annual conference

From Thursday 7th April to Friday 8th April, Jacaranda will be exhibiting at the Annual Conference for the Geography Teachers’ Association of New South Wales (GTA NSW). Held at the Novotel in Sydney Olympic Park, this two-day event will help primary and secondary Geography teachers prepare for the compulsory implementation of the K–10 Geography Syllabus NSW in 2017. With a series of presentations including keynote speakers, fieldwork activities and workshops to build confidence and skills, the event offers a fantastic opportunity for Geography teachers to expand their professional capabilities.

The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Thinking Ahead’, with fieldwork sessions dedicated to environmental sustainability and management, and presentations on how to use new technologies in the classroom. Jacaranda’s exhibitor stand will also focus on ‘thinking ahead’ and we will be sharing a first glimpse into exciting our new Geography resources for the 2017 school year.

Visit us at our booth for the opportunity to register for eBook samples and page proofs, as well as to sign up for other exciting announcements and upcoming events. For more information on the conference program or how to register, please visit the GTA NSW conference page. We look forward to seeing you there!
