Get involved with National Youth Week 2016
Held each year, National Youth Week is a week-long celebration of young people (specifically those aged 12–25) that gives Australia’s youth the opportunity to express their ideas and views. Spanning from the 8th of April until the 17th, the idea behind the event is to get the youth community to act on issues that affect their lives and enjoy themselves while doing so.

As teachers and school leaders heavily invested in the welfare of Australia’s youth, this week is a fantastic opportunity to motivate kids to get involved with a range of activities, from film festivals to music festivals and art exhibitions. With hundreds of events to choose – including some that are held at local secondary schools – there’s sure to be something on that you can encourage your students to participate in. To view a list of Youth Week activities in your state or territory, please go to their website: ACTNSWNTQLDSATASVIC and WA.
